Love was in the air at The Park Café this February 14th, where our club members were treated to a truly special Valentine’s celebration, hosted by one of our charity’s long-term supporters, Tony Ansell.
The Park Café, based in the heart of Northampton’s iconic Abington Park, is a beloved local venue that serves all sorts of delicious drinks, snacks and meals, every day of the week. On Valentines Day this year, owner of the Café Tony Ansell generously went all out decorating the Café with heart-shaped balloons and beautifully themed tablescapes – setting the perfect scene for an afternoon of unforgettable celebrations.
Our Social Club Members were treated to a choice of four delicious main courses, followed by a scrumptious selection of desserts, alongside tea, coffee, and a variety of drinks. Laughter and chatter filled the café as our club members enjoyed some romantic live music performed by Terry Smith, and a mesmerising performance from magician, Clive Fletcher. Adding an extra touch of indulgence, Tony Ansell even provided chocolate-covered strawberries for our clients – because what’s Valentine’s Day without a little extra sweetness!
Tony’s generosity didn’t stop at the refreshments however – he also kindly gave each of our members a beautifully wrapped Valentine’s-themed gift, a thoughtful touch that left everyone feeling truly special.
This extraordinary event is just one example of Tony Ansell’s unwavering support for our charity. A loyal friend to TMDF, he has previously donated financially and even attended our Christmas Party back in November last year. As he celebrates an incredible 50 years in business this year, we want to congratulate him on this amazing milestone and thank him for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his community. The Abington Park Café is a thriving and vibrant part of Northampton, and we wish Tony continued success in the years to come!
