On October 16th, we had the pleasure of welcoming two fantastic teams from Amazon Northampton and Nationwide Northampton, who generously volunteered their time to support our food bank. Together, they packed hundreds of food parcels, each weighing between 13 to 15 kilos. These parcels included a variety of essential food items such as pasta, rice, sauces, tinned goods, cereal, and snacks providing vital nutrition and supplies to school children and their parents.
The food parcels will be distributed through our partnership program with over 80 Northamptonshire School Partners, ensuring that they reach local families facing hardship, sudden poverty, and the ongoing cost of living crisis. We regularly provide food parcels to ensure that children receiving free school meals can continue to eat during school holidays. Additionally, we offer emergency parcels for families experiencing sudden financial hardship and crises.
We are incredibly grateful for the tireless efforts of these amazing volunteers – without their help, we couldn’t make such a meaningful impact in our community!
