Celebrating International Women’s Day with the Brampton View Community

On Tuesday 10th March 2026, our founder, Teresa McCarthy-Dixon MBE, had the pleasure of visiting Brampton View Care Home to mark International Women’s Day, spending a lovely afternoon with residents and staff in what was a warm, welcoming and uplifting visit.

During the afternoon, Teresa spent time chatting with residents, listening to their stories, sharing the journey behind The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation, and showing them her MBE medal. It was a wonderful opportunity not only to celebrate International Women’s Day, but also to reflect on community, connection and the importance of recognising the experiences and contributions of women across generations.

Visits like these are always so special, and it was a real pleasure to spend time with the Brampton View community in such a relaxed and friendly setting. Meaningful conversations, shared stories and simple moments of connection can make such a difference, and the afternoon was a lovely reminder of that.

We would like to say a big thank you to Louise and the whole team at Brampton View Care Home for their kind invitation and for making the visit so enjoyable. Their warm welcome was very much appreciated.

We are already looking forward to returning soon, this time with some of our social club members for what promises to be a friendly and fun carpet bowls competition!
