On Thursday 12th February 2026, our Food & Essentials Hub in Moulton Park was buzzing with activity for our large-scale half term distribution day. From the moment doors opened, it was all hands on deck. Having prepared the parcels ahead of time, the focus on the day was firmly on distribution to families across our community.
Our valued school partners played a key role, collecting food parcels for families they identified as needing a little extra support this half term. Their continued collaboration ensures that help reaches those who need it most during the holidays.
Thanks to the dedication of our incredible volunteers, we were able to hand out 1,237 bags of food and essentials on the day.
A special shout-out goes to the Moulton Masters Walking Football Team, our own volunteers Liz and Irene, Jayshree, one of our amazing community volunteers, and the fantastic team from DSV. Their ongoing commitment keeps our Hub running smoothly and makes every distribution day a true community effort.
“I’m just happy to help people…I feel thankful to God and to the people who volunteer, to those who give food to help families who are struggling. People here today have come with big smiles and big hearts; it makes you feel like a better person in the world.” Greta one of the wonderful volunteers from DSV
It’s moments like these that remind us just how much fun giving back can be, while making a real difference to families across the county.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm on the day, you’re what makes our mission possible!
