Make This Harvest Season Count – Support Your Community

As Harvest season approaches, The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation is reaching out to schools, businesses, churches, and clubs across Northamptonshire to help support local families and individuals in need.

In schools, Harvest is a special time when children learn about giving and sharing. Many schools hold assemblies where pupils celebrate the season, often singing traditional songs and reflecting on the importance of helping others. During this time, students are encouraged to bring in donations such as tinned, dried, and long-life foods, or household items to school. These items will be collected and then distributed during our major October half-term food distribution, helping those in our community who are facing hardship.

With the help of our partner schools already underway, we are calling on other local organisations and individuals to get involved in this year’s Harvest campaign.  Donations of food, personal hygiene products, household goods, cleaning products, and even unwanted gifts help stock our Food Hub, ensuring that families and individuals in Northamptonshire have the essentials they need.

If you or your organisation would like to host a collection or make a donation, please contact us at community@mccarthydixon.org.uk.  Your support will make a real difference this Harvest season.
