On Thursday 26th February 2026, our founder, Teresa McCarthy-Dixon, had the pleasure of visiting the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket, where she was invited to speak about The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation and the work we continue to carry out across the community.
During the visit, Graham Goss, on behalf of the Club’s President, Lynn Kitchen, kindly presented Teresa with a cheque for an incredibly generous £1,700 in support of our work. This funding will be allocated across several important areas of our service provision, including:
- £700 towards day trips for our Social Club and Doorstep Buddies clients
- £500 towards our Breakfast Boxes for schools
- £500 towards our Food & Essentials Hub
This wonderful donation will make a meaningful difference to the individuals and families we support. From helping to create enjoyable outings and social opportunities for those who may otherwise feel isolated, to providing breakfast items for school children and essential food and household support through our Hub, this contribution will have a very real and practical impact.
Support like this plays such an important role in helping us continue to respond to need in a compassionate, flexible and community-led way. It enables us not only to provide essential items and services, but also to create moments of connection, dignity and care for those who need it most.
We are incredibly grateful to Lynn Kitchen and all the members of the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket for their warm welcome, generosity and belief in our work. Their support is greatly appreciated, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved.
