We’re thrilled to share some exciting news, The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation (TMDF) is moving to Castle Hill United Reformed Church in Spring Boroughs in March 2026! This will be our permanent home, giving us a welcoming, flexible space to expand the community services that so many people rely on.
Since starting as a small emergency food bank at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, TMDF has grown into a charity supporting over 90 schools and countless local organisations. We also run weekly social clubs, home visits, transport services, and life-skills programmes, reaching out to people across Northamptonshire who need support.
Founder Teresa McCarthy-Dixon describes the charity’s growth as “seriously exceeding all expectations,” and it’s thanks to our incredible volunteers, staff, and supporters that we’ve been able to make such a difference.
The move comes as TMDF outgrows its current temporary premises. Castle Hill URC, a Grade II listed building with rich history, offers plenty of space, including function rooms, a commercial kitchen, offices, and versatile community areas. We plan to turn it into a bright, welcoming Community Hub, operating five days a week and providing practical support, friendship, and connection for anyone facing hardship, isolation, or disadvantage.
Teresa says:
“This move is a long-awaited step forward. With our incredible volunteers, staff, and trustees, we’re ready to make this new hub a welcoming place for everyone in Northamptonshire who needs support.”
While we’re excited about all the opportunities the new space will bring, we’re also committed to preserving the building’s heritage and continuing its legacy as a central hub for local community life.
The move marks a new chapter for TMDF, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far. Here’s to a future full of community, care, and connection!
